The first step is to schedule a Design Consultation. This generally costs in the area of $350.00 but can vary depending on the size of the project and location of the property. Once a meeting date and time are set, a consultation agreement will be sent that explains the process and states the fee that is payable by check or credit card.
Advance preparation is encouraged prior to the on-site Design Consultation to help you organize your input and fully utilize the Consultation time. This includes gathering together photos, tear sheets, and listing your ideas to establish the basis of creating the spaces that you have always envisioned.
Here are just a few questions to consider:
There are no right or wrong criteria, only YOUR personal interests and input can guide the TROY BANKORD DESIGN process.
Troy will then personally walk the property with you and entering into the dialogue of understanding your goals and dreams for your home and/or garden. This on-site tour will stimulate suggestions and ideas that will lead to options & solutions. Your own unique personal taste, style, and imaginings will then be combined with the property and structural elements to initiate the creation of a Design Plan, should a plan be necessary and desired.
The Design Consultation does not normally include scale drawings or sketches, plantings, fabrics, materials or written information. However, if you decide to move forward and contract with TROY BANKORD DESIGN, then the Consultation Fee will be fully credited toward the design portion of the project cost. In the event that you decide to implement the ideas yourself, you are free to use the concepts provided by Troy however you wish. You will be under no obligation to further utilize the services of TROY BANKORD DESIGN.
